Chess Board

I made this chess board for a childhood friend of mine. During COVID, this friend spent a lot of time playing chess online. The few times I played against him, I was beaten quite swiftly.

Knowing his love for chess, as well as his love of film, I wanted to make him something for his birthday that brought these two together. He had recently suggested I watch a film called "The Seventh Seal" (1957), about a man who wages his life on a game of chess against Death.

The chess set in the film is extremely unique as well as iconic. Knowing that, I knew I had to 3D print the pieces for this board, as it was the most fitting way to gift this project to my friend.
