About

My name is Nick and I've always loved building things. Well, first I loved taking things apart and figuring out how they worked, but eventually I would put them back together again.

This led to more and more experimentation, building, breaking, failing, more building, and more breaking. Today I find myself loving every aspect of that process, and I bring that into my work as much as I can.

Learning a new skill or discipline is both exciting and can cause me to rip out my hair (if I still had any).

General FAQ

Q: How long have you been building things?

A: The first time I really felt like I "built" something in the way I do today was around 2008. I was 13 years old and had recently played the video game Assassin's Creed. I realized I could remake a famous weapon from the game with junk around my dad's garage. I got about 90% done with the weapon when I needed to attach a real blade to it. Believe it or not, my parents did not let me finish that build.

Commissions FAQ

Q: Can you make _________?

A: Probably yes!

Q: How long does each build take?

A: This varies dramatically with each build. I've finished some personal projects within a day, and others can take months. When it comes to commissions, that timeline is a lot more strict. Depending on many factors, some clients can receive their commissioned work within only a few business days after a project outline has been agreed upon.

Q: How much would it cost to make _______?

A: Once again, this varies dramatically, but I like to point people to this diagram:
